Billet Box Vapor Billet Box Rev 4c Preview
Billet Box Rev 4c Preview: The Original Boro, Still the Benchmark
Hand- and robot-made in the USA, with Evolv's DNA60 and a 5.5ml Boro tank. The device the whole boro category was built around.
On paper, the Billet Box is less a product than a reference point. Everything else in this category gets compared to it — for better and for worse.
On paper: strengths
- The original boro AIO — the format started here
- Evolv DNA60, 60W
- 5.5ml Boro tank
- Made in the USA, Cerakote-finished aluminium
On paper: questions
- Single 18650 not included (unprotected IMR cell required)
- Premium pricing
- 60W ceiling is modest next to newer DNA80 devices
If you’ve heard the word “boro”, you’ve heard of the Billet Box. Billet Box Vapor describes it as the first device to put a big battery, a large tank and all the electronics into one unit — the template every boro device since has followed.
The Rev 4c
The Rev 4c is the current revision, and Billet Box notes it marked a move from anodised finishes to in-house Cerakote. Inside is Evolv’s DNA60 at 60W, running a single 18650 IMR cell (non-protected, not included).
The tank
It ships with a 5.5ml Boro tank, a Nord coil adapter and replacement O-rings. The boro tank is what made the platform: swap in a rebuildable bridge and the device becomes a different vape entirely. If that sentence means nothing yet, read how to choose an AIO.
Who it’s for
Enthusiasts who want the original and care about craft as much as specs. Newer devices like the San AIO DNA80C offer more power; the Billet Box offers the badge.
What we’ll be checking
- How the DNA60 compares with newer DNA80C devices
- Bridge compatibility across popular boro RBAs
- Whether the finish holds up to daily carry
