Direct-to-lung is the big-cloud style. Here's how it differs from MTL and what it needs.

DTL — direct-to-lung — means inhaling vapour straight into your lungs in one breath, like taking a deep breath of air.

What changes

The airflow is wide open, coils are usually lower resistance, and the device uses more power and more liquid. You get far more vapour per puff.

Liquid matters

DTL setups generally pair with higher-VG liquids and lower nicotine strengths. Using a high-strength nicotine salt in a big DTL tank is a classic beginner mistake. See nicotine strength explained.

Is it for you?

If you enjoy big vapour and flavour intensity and don’t mind refilling often, possibly. If you want discretion and long battery life, MTL is usually the better fit.
