dotmod dotAIO X Preview: The Modular AIO That Turns Into a Boro
Battery, chipset and atomizer are separate modules that lock together — and one of those modules takes any boro tank.

On paper, the most flexible AIO here: start with dotmod's own tank, add the Boro module later. The catch is that key electrical specs aren't published on its page.
On paper: strengths
- Modular: battery, chipset and atomizer modules
- Optional Boro module takes boro-style tanks and bridges
- Also offers a Squonk/510 module
- Aluminium body
On paper: questions
- Output wattage not listed on dotmod's product page
- 18650 not included
- Modules add cost if you want them all
The dotAIO X is a different idea from the other devices here. Instead of one fixed body, dotmod splits it into three modules — battery, chipset and atomizer — joined by a magnetic and mechanical lock.
The modules
The standard kit uses dotmod’s own V3 dotAIO tank with dotCoils (0.3Ω and 0.7Ω included). Optional modules turn it into something else: a Squonk/510 module, or a Boro tank module that dotmod says is compatible with any boro-style tank and bridge. That makes it a genuine route into boro without buying a dedicated boro device.
What we don’t know yet
dotmod’s product page doesn’t list output wattage or chipset details, so we’re not going to guess. We’ll update this preview when we can confirm them.
Who it’s for
Tinkerers who like the idea of one device that can be a pod-style AIO today and a boro tomorrow. See pod vs AIO for the bigger picture.
